PROVINCIAL AUTONOMY WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY WOULD BE UNWISE

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar left for England on November 7, 1932. In an interview, as the time of his departure, he said that the establishment of Provincial Autonomy without responsibility at the Centre would be unwise and that he disliked the idea of Central responsibility for British India being made dependent upon an All-India Federation. As regards the Civil Disobedience Movement of Gandhi, he opined that it was not a rebellion as it could not oust the British Bureaucracy. Keer, P. 219.
